The 2019 Municipal Budget is adopted.
The Governing Body approved the 2019 Municipal Budget at the Council meeting held on April 30th. The Budget was introduced at the Council meeting held on March 26th. There will be an increase of 2 1/4 cents in the tax rate or $68.85 for the average household. The value of $.01 cent tax rate is $19,250. The total estimated municipal tax rate is $0.8211 cents. The 2018 municipal tax rate was $.799. The budget is in compliance with the 2% tax cap levy law. Under the law, debt service, shared services, pension contributions and health insurance are not subject to the 2% cap.
The 2019 Current Fund breaks down into the following percentages:
34% ($848,857) Public Safety
26% ($628,301) Administration
23% ($582,860) Utilities, Insurance, & Pension Contributions
11% ($270,032) Debt Service
6% ($150,000) Reserve for Uncollected Taxes
for a total of $2,480,050

62% ($3,800,000) School Taxes Estimated
26% ($1,579,595) Local Taxes
11% ($ 673,000) County Taxes
1% ($ 86,627) Local Open Space Taxes
